Team 1699’s mission is to promote student interest in STEM through design challenges and hands-on work that build technical knowledge and interpersonal skills. Check out this year's challenge below!
Team 1699 is part of FIRST ® Robotics Competition and competes in The Ultimate Sport for the MindTM
FRC combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules and limited time and resources, teams of high school students are challenged to build industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams, while also fundraising to meet their goals, designing a team “brand,” and advancing respect and appreciation for STEM within the local community.
The 2024 Game Challenge!
Our 2023 Robot was a New England District Championship Winner!!
Janky Sue spent much of the build season in design and redesign. The team persisted and when she finally came together, she became the 3rd seed Alliance Captain at our first competition at Western New England. The team also brought home the Autonomous Award! We finished strong at Hartford and headed to the New England District Championships at the Big E. Janky Sue was selected to be part of the First Alliance! Our Alliance with Team 1757 and Team 176 won both the Wilson Division and the final New England District Championships! So many close calls, exciting plays, and great alliance partners to celebrate with!!
